Accountant General Uttar Pradesh
The Office of Accountant General, United Provinces (U.P.) from 30th January 1950 was called Accountant General, Uttar Pradesh. This Office was restructured on line with the Indian Audit & Accounts Department into Audit & Accounts Wings at the State levels. The Accountant General (Accounts)-I & II are the Principal Accounts advisors to the State Government and an responsible for submission of Annual accounts i.e. Finance Accounts and Appropriation accounts to the State Government. In addition, the General Provident Fund and other entitlement functions are also being looked after. Budget making and entire financial management is also attended by these offices.

The Principal Accountant General (Civil Audit) & Account General (Commercial & Receipts Audit) are responsible for conducting the Test and Performance Audit of various State Departments, bodies and offices for improving the effectiveness, efficiency & economy of the operations and for enforcing the executive for the better management of scarce resources of the State.

This Website is a small step towards informing the public and residence of U.P. State of our activities as well as providing better service for GPF subscribers and pensioners.
